Dear Sisters and Brothers,
With grateful hearts, I wish to thank all who gathered with us on November 2nd for our Night of Remembrance, as we came together to remember our beloved deceased and to unite in prayer and solidarity with our bereaved families. Your presence, prayers, and willingness to share in one another’s sorrow and pray with and for them made this evening a beautiful expression of our parish community’s love, compassion, and faith.
My heartfelt appreciation goes to all the ministers of our Grief Ministry and Pastoral Bereavement Ministry, who have faithfully walked alongside our bereaved families throughout the year. Thanks also to those that assist with setting up and celebration of funeral masses.
Through the several eight-week grief ministry sessions, you have offered a listening ear, a comforting presence, and the reassurance that no one has to journey through grief alone. Your ministry after funeral Masses, including bringing food for the bereaved families and their guests, is a thoughtful expression of love that takes one more worry off their shoulders at a difficult time.
Thank you for making our parish a community where sorrow is shared, healing is nurtured, and love is experienced in very practical ways.
